Michael is a creative connector, brand whisperer, and community champion who is driven by his obsessive curiosity. Raised by his local hip-hop scene, he’s traveled the world battling in breakdance competitions and managing artists. He translated these experiences into his work as a brand manager for Red Bull and later on at global agencies such as Razorfish and Dentsu. He founded Milli in 2014 during the first boom of the social media era seeing an opportunity to leverage new tools and norms to help more than just big brands but small businesses, changemakers, creative industry, and emerging talent. In 2023 he became a founding film commissioner for the city of Seattle.
Chike Ume is a veteran strategist and cultural maven, having worked across multiple disciplines. In his 10+ years in the industry he’s worked with global agencies and global brands like Xbox, Google, Netflix and more. Through his unique cultural lens, Chike has built world class thought leadership programs designed to unearth and inspire inspirational outputs for any brand.
A former spoken word artist, his approach is rooted in leveraging unusual and unique insights to support BIPOC voices and initiatives - even winning an Anthem award for such efforts in 2022. He also has a ruthless commitment to dad jokes that will not be denied.
Tiarra is a visual designer and art director with 8+ years of experience in multiple industries. She’s touched work in advertising, tech, CPG and more. She’s a self-described idea-having-maker-person with a passion for sharing and showing real and unapologetic stories. As an art director she has worked in both conceptual and executional capacities on projects spanning from brand identity to web design to social and integrated campaigns.
Lucero is a photographer, social media strategist, and proud Mexican American. She began photographing at an early age which eventually turned into her studies and career in visual arts. Since graduating she's worked with brands and people in a human-centered approach which brought her to Milli where she works across social, content, and production
Kendra is a social and digital strategist with a passion for exploring the different ways we as a society can connect and learn from each other. Since 2014 Kendra has worked in virtually every landscape the internet has had to offer and has brought her core belief that it all comes back to storytelling into creating viral content for her various clientele. Those clients have included Netflix, FX, CBS, Ulta, Disney+, Amazon Studios, and more. Her understanding for the importance in meaningful messaging, accessibility, and media literacy is an approach she brings to every project.
Matt is the Swiss Army Knife in Milli’s creative toolbox, or rather, a Filipino Balison, that brings experience from past marketing work with clients like ASICS, Microsoft, and Footlocker. Specializing in communications and production, he covers additional bases as needed, assisting with design and strategy efforts. His eye disease trained his brain to notice patterns, trends, and even the smallest of differences across digital and physical mediums, and he uses this precision to bring a fresh perspective to both Mlili’s clients and the future of the creative industry at large.
