Amazon Launchpad is a curated marketplace for innovative products made by emerging brands and startups. Launchpad works closely with individual inventors and innovative startups providing resources and opportunities to get products to market. In 2019, Launchpad merged with Amazon Exclusives which focused on products offered exclusively through Amazon. In 2020, awareness of Launchpad remained low. This is where we came in.
Amazon approached us to elevate the creative around one of their most unique business units. Being the only consumer-facing section of Amazon that sells products across every major category, Launchpad did not fit into existing category strategy, messaging, or creative. With an inventor/start-up (think Kickstarter or Product Hunt) focused model, we were faced with a challenge of creating a unique and distinct brand and visual voice that still lived within the Amazon ecosystem.
Working closely with the a multi-disciplinary creative and client team we crafted a pop-art infused creative treatment that inspired the creation of individual worlds connected through colorstory around each product category. With a strategy focused on a younger and more tech-savvy audience our goal was to create beautiful, engaging, artistic, and sophisticated spaces that highlighted the many innovative and unconventional products sold on Launchpad.
